Valley Vista 4-H Club

Welcome to Valley Vista 4-H

Valley Vista 4-H Club is one of three clubs in the Livermore Valley (there's Del Arroyo and Crane Ridge 4-H too).  Valley Vista 4-H enrollment begins August 1st.
4-H clubs hold Community Club meetings monthly.  Valley Vista is held on the second Wednesday of each month.  The meetings are at Leo Croce Elementary School on Scenic Ave. These meetings are for getting information out to the club for upcoming events held throughout the county and the state.
Then the individual projects hold monthly meetings. These meetings are subject specific. The adult leaders are "experts" in their respective areas. All have been finger printed and a basic security check is done on each adult volunteer. Most of our leaders are 4-H Alumni with TONS of years of experience.
Valley Vista 4-H offers the following projects;
Rabbits - Open to ages 5 - 19yrs
Chickens - Open to ages 5 - 19yrs
Preserved Foods - Open to ages 5 - 19yrs
Breeding Swine - Open to ages 9 - 19yrs

We do community service whenever we can. We've adopted a Military Police Unit stationed over seas. We assist kids at the Kids4Kids Christmas Party for underprivileged youth in the TriValley, we are in the Holiday parade every year and a lot of other things.
I myself have personally seen the benefits of 4-H. My children, now age 24, 20 and 19 all were involved heavily in 4-H. They are amazing public speakers, mentors to the younger members and since they were all involved with the market animals, they know and understand where our food comes.
Let me know if you have any specific question...I'd be happy to assist.
