Training Opportunities

2019-2020 Beginning 4-H for Volunteers

2019/2020 Training Registration Now Open!

Certification requirement for all New Volunteers. Open to ALL adults. Those with 5 years or less experience in 4-H are encouraged to attend.

Prerequisite: You must complete the 4-H Interest Survey, the online eXtension courses (Key Code is Alameda), be registered at 4hOnline, and pay your club fees before attending.

Topics will include:

Welcome to 4-H
History of 4-H
Managing Groups
Youth-Adult Partnerships
Project 101
other useful tools

Trainings are limited to 24 people.

Registration Everyone must register so enough materials will be available. If at all possible we will have a Live Scan service available at the trainings for a fee.

Bring your valid California Drivers License or ID and cash or credit card only.

Training Dates Volunteers are required to attend one training date.

You may attend either Contra Costa County or Alameda County training. The trainings are the same.

Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Light snacks & water will be provided, bringing a bag lunch is encouraged.

Cake Booth Committee Member Opportunities

The Cake Booth at the Alameda County Fair is the only Fundraiser the Alameda County 4-H program does to fund the many wonderful programs that 4-H has to offer.

All the field days, conference scholarships and trainings are funded by the Cake Booth income.

Please become a committee member for the Alameda 4-H Cake Booth.
